Frequently asked questions
General
What makes coconut wax better than other candle waxes?
Coconut wax is known for its clean, slow, and even burn. It’s one of the most sustainable wax options because coconuts are a renewable resource and require minimal environmental impact to harvest.
Coconut wax also holds fragrance exceptionally well, giving you a stronger, longer-lasting scent experience.
Are your candles environmentally friendly?
Yes! We focus on sustainability from start to finish. Our candles are made with eco-friendly coconut wax, clean-burning wicks, and responsibly sourced fragrance.
We also use reusable or recyclable containers to help reduce waste.
Do coconut wax candles burn longer?
Absolutely. Coconut wax has a slower burn rate compared to many other waxes, which means you get more hours of use from each candle.
What types of containers do you offer?
We offer a variety of containers, including glass jars, ceramic vessels, metal tins, and seasonal specialty containers. Many are reusable or recyclable, so you can give them a second life after your candle is finished.
In some circumstances and at our discretion, we can also pour bespoke containers of your choice.
Can I reuse the containers once the candle is done?
Yes! Most of our containers are designed to be repurposed. After your candle has finished burning, simply remove any remaining wax and wash the container with warm, soapy water. Use it for plants, storage, décor, or anything else you’d like.
Candlemaid labels are designed to be removed easily should you wish.
Are your candles vegan and cruelty free?
Yes. Coconut wax is plant-based, and we ensure all of our ingredient suppliers follow vegan and cruelty-free standards.
Do your candles contain toxins or harmful chemicals?
No. Our candles are made without parabens, phthalates, or other toxic additives. We prioritize clean-burning ingredients that are safe for you and your home.
Why does my candle sometimes look frosty?
This can happen with natural waxes like coconut wax and is completely normal. It doesn’t affect the performance or quality of the candle.
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
For optimal performance:
• Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn
• Let the candle melt to the edges on the first burn
• Avoid burning longer than 3–4 hours at a time
Following these steps prevents tunneling and ensures an even, long-lasting burn.
